Somewhere underneath all this mess is my desk!
I've been working on a card for a wedding I am attending during the Bank Holiday weekend.
It is for a second marriage of a 50ish couple so the traditional style with lots of white didn't seem right. I stamped the main image upside down to make it look like a bouquet, but I'm not sure if it does or if it just looks upside down! The stamped doilies and words are in dark blue rather than black as it looks in the picture above. I don't have any stamps with a wedding theme, and as I'm unlikely to use one again in the near future, I'd prefer not to buy one specially.
What do you think? Is it wedding-y enough?!
I'm off to look at all the WOYWW desks via Julia's Stamping Ground blog.
And then, as it's another beautiful day here, I'm going to make the most of it before starting work at lunchtime!
Thanks for visiting.
xXx
Totally wedding-y have fun and enjoy your day too.

It's a beautiful card - I think wedding cards can be so uniform so I'm sure the couple will love having something different. Take care on this wonderful sunny WOYWW day. Zo xx 78

I love it - especially for an "older" couple... hope you have a lovely time, and the weather holds for you. Helen, 17
ReplyDeleteconsidering it is a second wedding I think it is appropriate and I quite like the roses like that, it does look more bouquet-like. Love the butterfly too. Happy Woyww, Anne #19

I think it's lovely, Suzanne - they will definitely love it for a summery wedding. The traditional wedding card isn't necessary this time around, I think. Pretty colours and I wouldn't have known the image was upside down!!
