I have Been...

...inspired by 10 year old Mabel who invited me to have a table at her Fun Day.
(should have tidied my table before taking the photo!)
Mabel is aiming to raise £1,000 for Water Aid. So far she has raised over £500. Amazing!

...working to finish my free motion embroidery pictures that I started at the class taught by Lara Sparks
and trying not to notice the not-so-good bits!

...finally listing some items in my Etsy shop, after setting it up several years ago,
and sold them to one of my lovely blog friends, Joy

...making presents for (and based on) a friend

...listening to the new album from the wonderfully talented Paul Heaton and Jaqui Abbott
it's excellent!

...reading, reading, reading! Can't get enough of fiction books at the moment
this is the one I've just finished, you probably won't be surprised to learn that I was drawn to it by the buttons on the cover! It's a good (and quick) read.

Plus, of course, a lot of gardening and trips out enjoying the sunshine!
Youngest Boy is taking his GCSE exams at the moment and is making the most of the lovely weather by revising in the garden.

How are you spending your time at the moment?

Thanks for visiting
xXx

  1. What an amazing person Mabel is. I hope she reaches her target for such an important charity. Your free motion embroidery is wonderful, great design. You've just given me two more things to add to my shopping list, the CD and the book. The cover looks fab with all those buttons. Good luck to your son with his GCSE's. Our son is sitting his A levels and is very stressed, he's keen to get the grades for the uni he wants. How am I spending my time. I made a top but wasn't too happy with it. However today I've nearly completed another dress which has been much more successful. Enjoy the rest of the week.

    1. I know what you mean Joy, I always have so many ideas running through my head for things to make but real life gets in the way. That's why it was great to do the class as it was 6 hours just devoted to free motion embroidery! XX

  10. Hello Suzanne,
Thank you for your wonderful comment. I love my roses and I want more. My Husband wants for room for vegetables, which mean moving my roses elsewhere. I'm not agreeing on that, : )
I enjoy Romantic Home magazine and have been for a couple of years. I only purchase it once in a while but I may sign up for a yearly subscription. They have my kind of decorating, gardens (of course roses), and other interesting places.
Again, thank you for dropping by and have a wonderful week.
    Blessings,
    Bobbie Lynn
